Bijli Mahadev Dec 2012 -- A small trek in snow .

Dec 2012 I travelled to Manali to spend some leisure time at one of the himachal tourism resort by the name of Log Huts . The resort is situated at about 2 Km's from the bus stand on the Hadimba mata temple road .
Manali being a very small place I had the luxury of time to visit some places nearby and I choose one of the place that  I so very much like to visit all through my college life ..... Bijli Mahadev .
Though the trek is just about 4 km's from the Chansari village the last motorable point for the temple I may have chosen the worst possible day to visit . Dec 2012 . We started from Manali at around 10 AM and all along the way the cab driver was suggesting us not to plan to go to the temple as it can be heavy snowfall on the top , but I guess it was the call of the supreme Lord that made me reach the temple in the midst of heavy snow storm where I could hardly see beyond 10 meters .
From Manali we took the road to Kullu and just about 1KM before Kullu at Ramshila we took the bridge and crossed the Beas river and took the bifurcation to the Bijli mahadev temple . The motorable road from Ramshila to Chansari village is approx  20 Km . From here the trek is approx 4 Km steep climb .

I reached at around noon and asked the driver to park the car and wait . I could easily see the higher forest slopes visible from here having medium to heavy snowfall . I had to pass through this forest.
With some strong resolve and Lords grace I was able to trek through the cold and pass through the snowstorm and reach the temple ,

Here are some of the pics on the way and at temple .

The Land of Shiva... Bharmour and Manimahesh

As an adventure lover with irrepressible spirit one find himalayas not only just a place for demonstration of the free will but to the contrary the pure vastness of the mountain chain runs a lingering desire in you to get bind to it till eventuality.
For himalayan mountain and its subsidiary lesser himalayan chains the beauty does not lie in the fact  that they are actually world's grandest mountain set but the beauty lies in the approach that it provides a visitor into its vast spread . It enfolds in a layered manner whereas one starts to go deep, it peels of one layer after another of the magnificent scenic splendour and finally the core the ultimate bliss of the destination and choose any from eastern ranges of sikkim to the pir panjal in the north west , its omnipresent like Gods love in the form that we can conceive in the realm of our senses.
Bharmour is one such destination .
Situated at a distance of 60 Km's from Chamba in Himachal Pradesh.

The 60 KM drive to Bharmour once one of the most remote places in himachal is all along the river Ravi that meanders down the mountain slopes .

Bharmour is most famous for its Chaurasi temple compound for Lord Shiva  - the supreme deity of the locals here .
